





Meet Dr. Lavoie, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Lavoie is a board-certified pediatric dental specialist, and thus a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been providing personalized patient care in the Southcoast Massachusetts and Rhode Island area for over a decade. His passion for healthcare was first indulged with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at UMass Dartmouth that culminated with a short career as a Registered Nurse at Charlton Memorial Hospital. In the meantime, he completed a post-baccalaureate program at Harvard University to segue into his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Stony Brook University on Long Island, NY.
While in dental school, he also earned a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in the Art of Public Policy. Afterward, he spent an additional two years of residency training at Stony Brook in their Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry – Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award, and the New York State Foundation – Dean’s Award, amongst several other awards that you can find on display at his office. While in private practice, he has been honored with the Massachusetts Dental Society’s “Top Ten Under 10” award and was voted one of the “Top 40 Under 40” US Dentists by Incisal Edge Magazine.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lavoie is a proud husband and father of two beautiful daughters. He enjoys indulging their curiosities, particularly with the great outdoors and animals of all types, especially sea creatures!
