Dr. Lavoie is a board-certified pediatric dental specialist, and thus a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He has been providing personalized patient care in the Southcoast Massachusetts and Rhode Island area for over a decade. His passion for healthcare was first indulged with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at UMass Dartmouth that culminated with a short career as a Registered Nurse at Charlton Memorial Hospital. In the meantime, he completed a post-baccalaureate program at Harvard University to segue into his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Stony Brook University on Long Island, NY. There, he also earned a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in the Art of Public Policy. Afterward, he spent an additional two years of residency training at Stony Brook in their Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry – Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award, and the New York State Foundation – Dean’s Award, amongst several other awards that you can find on display at his office.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lavoie is a proud father of two beautiful daughters and enjoys indulging their curiosities, particularly with the great outdoors and animals of all types!
